Features
Close to your friends. Closed to everyone else.
A private messaging and social app that protects your conversations and keeps your data in Canada.
Your feed
Only you and your friends, newest first. No global timeline, no ranking algorithm.
Post, reply, delete
Write posts, reply to friends and delete your own posts any time.
Loads instantly
Your feed is saved on your phone, then refreshes in the background.
Honest sponsored posts
Occasionally a local sponsor, labelled “Sponsored.” Everyone sees the same ones, and your data is never used to pick them.
Friends
Add people in person or by ID. Your friends list is yours alone.
QR code or public ID
Scan a code in person or share your public ID.
Private requests
Only the person you asked can see a friend request.
Encrypted friends list
Locked with your own key, so we can't read it.
Clean profile photos
Re-encoded, with location and camera data stripped.
Messages
End-to-end encrypted on your phone. The server sees only the recipient, the size and an approximate time, never the sender.
Photos and videos
Videos up to 2 minutes. Metadata removed on your phone, encrypted before upload, deleted from the server after 7 days.
Friends only
Only friends can message you. No messages from strangers.
No read receipts
Messages say “Sent,” never “Seen.” Reply when you're ready.
Calls
Voice and video with friends, end-to-end encrypted.
Your IP stays hidden
Relayed through our own server in Québec. Not recorded. The relay keeps no logs.
Rings like a real call
Even on the lock screen. You choose if calls appear in your call history.
Noise cancellation
Runs on your phone during the call.
On-device AI
Helpful writing suggestions that never leave your phone.
Suggest clearer wording
For posts, plus writing suggestions in chats.
Labelled honestly
Posts written with AI help say “AI-assisted.”
Runs locally
Apple Intelligence or Gemini Nano when available, otherwise SovTalk's small open writing model, which you can choose to download.
You're in control
Your identity, your data, your rules, from sign-up to deletion.
No email or phone
Your identity is a key made on your phone. The app helps you back it up and test the backup.
Delete means delete
Removed from the server, your other devices and your friends' phones.
Delete on this phone only
Clear posts, messages or chats locally without affecting anyone else.
Report and block
Report to moderators. Block anyone, and they're never notified.
Content-free notifications
No message text or sender, so Apple and Google never see it.
Français and English
Regional colour themes for Canada, Europe or neutral.
